My Personal Opinion: Touristy, but enjoyable.It might be a bit tacky, but personally, I just love how fun it is and if you’re in Vegas you’ve got to embrace the kitsch instead of resisting! The Venetian has the added benefit of not just looking like a replica of Venice and its canals – but you can even get a gondola ride here. The casino hotels in this city are pretty awesome, to be fair, and some of them are really, really worth visiting. Yes, this is definitely one of the most tourist-y things to do in Las Vegas, but it’s got to be done. It’s certainly a lot cleaner than the real Venice. There’s other stuff to lap up too, like the Praying Mantis sculpture, and the classic cowboy sign of Vegas Vic. There’s a huge array of electric signs going on here, giving you a real taste of a Las Vegas of the past in all its retro glory. If you are staying in Vegas, you’ll want to be near the strip. It’s iconic!īut it’s not all about the Strip – head to the more historic Fremont Street where you can see the old neon signs in action. My Personal Opinion: You’ll end up doing this when you arrive, but give it a walk too.The atmosphere is one of the most incredible anywhere in the world, and you get to locate some of the biggest attractions straight off the bat! It doesn’t matter how many times I come to Vegas, I always have to spend time exploring the Strip and soaking in all that atmosphere! Check out the Bellagio, Caesar’s Palace and the rest of the entertainment capital’s glorious neon buzz. ![]() I wonder how much the electricity bill here costs?Ĭruising the Strip is a must. ![]()
